Civilization comparison
When playing pocket (middle position) role in team games, DM (Death Match) games, or games like Arena, you should ask yourself the questions: what unit combo (combination) will I go for?
In attempt to answer the question above I will try to gather information about the different civilizations strong and weak sides, and also some good army combinations for it.
Though the answer on the question above can probably vary a bit depending on factor like: what kind of map, or what kind of army my ally will use. But for simplicity sake let us make this post built for a land map, and not depending on your allies forces.
If you have a good civilization combo you want to share, don't hesitate to write it here on this post.
Chinese:
This civilizations are not the best in castle age, but try reach imperial asap (as soon as possible).
Good castle units:
1. Cavaliers (Chinese get more food from farms)
Good imperial army combinations:
1. Elite Cho Ko Ku (with the castle upgrade that gives them +2 damage vs pierce armor), + skirmishers, + light cavalry.
Hard against:
Huns and Goths (since they have good units against your pierce units).

Re: Civilization comparison
China pocket should definatly go knights, actually they are one of the better pocket civs. So if i were pocket china i would go full knts (ofcourse it depends on map/civ) and not just go few and boom for early imp. Chucks are hard to mass early imp so that isnt a very good idea.

Re: Civilization comparison
I see. Though Chinese have no paladins, but in castle it might be a good idea to buy knights.
Re: Civilization comparison
china pocket, stable-market, mini boom, and after 60vills+handcart go 5stable full knight is so power, china is one of the best knight pockets
and i dont see how can huns do anything vs china in imperial.. chukos+skirm +ram combo is too rox
i would say mayan, mongol, goth, celt can win china in imp
