Interview with Olof
Since I´we done some interviews with people in clan, it no more fair that I make one of myself. So ladies and gentleman, let me present: Olof!
1. What is you real name?
Olof Glans
2. Hows is it to live in Sweden?
I'm glad to live in a good country like sweden. We are famous for our socialistic democratic society, with health care and roof over heads for every man. Many probably know Olof Palme, he's our man ^^ And no, I`m
not named after him
One problem in my country is the fast speed in society and the skepticism of God. Many feel that they don't have time to think, because of all activities (worries and pleasures) we are surrounded by. When people do think about God they tend to despise him, and blame him for all evil in the world. The result is that many ignore or hate God, and live a restless, unsatisfied and shallow life. Too many are bitter and lonely. Young people often don't like their life, and don't find meaning with it, and therefor often get addicted to alcohol or sex, and shame themselves. The thought of a God is a subject that often brings bitterness and despise here in Sweden.
3. What do you study/work with?
I have studied theology (the teaching about God) at university for almost three years, and now I study hebrew. When I don't study (or spend time on internet...) I work as an assistant for an kid with mental problems.
4. What are your hopes and dreams for the future?
Some day I hope to find an job I like, for example as an priest, missionary, or an ordinary full time job that is good enough. After that, perhaps a good wife. But in the end I would like that my life somehow have mattered in other peoples life, and to be proud of when I look back as an old one
5. When did you start playing Age of Kings, and how long have you been playing?
I started playing AoK for about 8 years ago, when I was a teenager. First I played some games at gaming zone in a swedish guild called "SWE" with my older brother. I meet some really good players there, for instance a person called Bullpitt. Bullpitt sure know how to play -at least in my noob eyes After a year or so, I stopped playing for many years. But this year (late 2009), I and my brother took up the gaming again, but this time on Gameranger, since Gamin Zone had shut down to our big surprise. Well now I have played on Gameranger almost a half year. My brother left playing after a while, and now instead he plays WoW
6. How come you joined this clan?
I was invited by Patriot someday in late 2009. First I didn't think there was any point having a clan, but after a while I changed my mind. A clan supplies with a nice community of people that keeps together and has fun.
7. Which is your favorite civilization and player color?
My favorite civilization at the moment is probably the Spanish since they get free upgrades and nice gold when trading. I always liked this civilization since they have most of the good "stuff". And what other civilization get cool conquistadors and missionaries? Favorite color? Hm, perhaps red, or maybe blue. Blue units look somehow stronger I think.
8. Any memory of a special good game?
I remember a game from old days, when I played with a clan friend from my swedish guild "SWE". We played a 2v2 team island map, and I was in the same team as my friend. I played like a noob, only building pikes and skirms. But my ally managed to wall in our whole island and fight back a long time with ships. After about 1 hours of intense fight one of the enemy opponents finally surrendered (or was it a dc?), but the game continued. The last opponent was quite good. He managed to fight back the ships and get a bit of land on our island. I remember he was Tuetons, since he started to spamm teuton knights against me. I had no clue those day how to counter t.k:s so I continued to spamm pikes and skirms. I was very frustrated that my men didn't stand a chance at all. But finally after about some half our my ally managed to stop the t.k. spamm and win the game. This game I remember since I was so impressed by my ally and the opponents gamestyle. The AOK gameworld had suddenly grown much bigger in my eyes.
9. Quick Questions:
Gameranger or Voobley?
Gameranger (can't play on vobbly)
TV or Internet?
Internet
Rush or Boom?
Boom
Tea or Coffee?
Tea
Gold or stone?
Gold
Capitalism or communism?
Capitalism (if I have to chose between them)
10. Anything you want to add?
Im glad to be part of a clan, and play with you on my spare time. I think it's interesting to play AoK since there is so many aspects in the game to learn and practice.

Re: Interview with Olof
You are a good man Olof. The point of living in Sweden that you have mentioned seems to be in my eyes like a global problem of nowdays young people.
P.S.
How do you like Hebrew? I'm also interested in styduing this beautiful language.

Re: Interview with Olof
Thanks guys.
I guess I study hebrew since it´s the language of the bible. Actually I am not that kind of person that have easy with language, I often find it a pain to learn. And hebrew is no exception, actually it is a real pain to learn:) It has tiny letters that have no real likeness to english, and it´s word construction is very difficult sometimes to understand. Every litle dot of these tiny letter can change a word quite a bit. But in over all, I guess it sounds a bit "exotic" and reminds a bit of Arabic languages.
